TrustFoodie uses Google Gemini AI to power its core ingredient analysis feature. When you capture a photo of a food label, that image is securely transmitted to Google's Gemini API for processing.
While Google Gemini AI is highly capable, it may occasionally misread text or misinterpret ingredients — particularly from blurry, angled, or poorly lit photos. TrustFoodie is an informational tool only and should not replace professional medical, dietary, or allergy advice. Always verify critical information directly from the product packaging.

The Service Provider may share information with third parties only as required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with trusted service providers who adhere to this privacy policy.
TrustFoodie is free to use and supported by advertising through Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID to serve relevant ads within the app.
You can opt out of personalised advertising through your device's settings under Privacy → Ads.
Your scan history and dietary preferences are stored exclusively on your device using local storage. The Service Provider does not have access to this data.
You can delete all locally stored data at any time by clearing the app's data through your device settings, or by uninstalling the app entirely.

TrustFoodie does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, it will be immediately deleted.

You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it using the standard uninstall process available on your mobile device or via the Google Play Store.
